Our Story
The Mith story began in 2019, when Michael Thayer launched MITH, a clothing line created to celebrate identity, confidence, and modern African style. What started as apparel quickly grew into a movement — people weren’t just wearing the brand, they were connecting with its attitude and lifestyle. MITH became a symbol of creativity, community, and self-expression in Burundi.
From that spirit, the idea evolved.
In 2021, MITH expanded beyond fashion and transformed into a full concept space — The Mith House. The vision was simple: create a place where the brand’s energy could be lived, not just worn. The Mith House became a home for music, food, art, gatherings, and culture — a vibrant hub where people meet, relax, celebrate, and feel inspired.
Today, The Mith House carries forward the same philosophy that began with a single clothing line:
